Today we are proud to announce that AFL star Nick Riewoldt has officially signed on to become the newest member of the Sports Where I Am team as Brand Ambassador.

As a hugely respected figure in Australian sport as well as being someone with a strong connection to the United States, Nick is the ideal addition to our team. With his wife Catherine’s family located in Houston, Nick regularly visits the USA in the AFL offseason, where he takes in as many professional and college sports games as he can. He also works with ESPN.com.au and Nike to promote and analyse sports, and therefore has the unique perspective of someone involved in sports on many different levels.

With Nick on board, we are looking forward to increasing awareness of the Sports Where I Am App and Website amongst travelling sports fans. Nick will host a new web series titled ‘Roo’s Fan Tales‘, which will see Nick catch up with a range of fellow sports and media personalities to hear about their sporting travels. Nick will also promote the mobile app and website in other forms of media.

This announcement coincides with an expansion of the Sports Where I Am platform to now include Australian based events.

As of today there will be 7 Australian cities available for our users, with more cities becoming available in the coming weeks.

We are really excited to have Nick on board as we continue our expansion.
