HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens: Let’s go to Singapore in October
We’re excited to announce that we’re an Official Ticketing Partner for the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens tournament this year. The two-day event will be held at Singapore National Stadium over October 10th and 11th.
Note: A previous version of this announcement included references to event dates during April. It has since been rescheduled to October. You can read the full announcement from the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens here.
This means you’re now able to purchase official tickets to the event through the Sports Where I Am website and mobile app, enjoying the benefits of a travel-focused customer service team to assist with any questions throughout the process. There will also be some Sports Where I Am giveaways happening at the event.
In 2019, the South Africa 7s team took out the cup in Singapore, with Australia finishing 7th after winning their pool but being defeated by New Zealand in the fifth-place Semifinal.
Rugby Sevens is a 7-a-side version of Rugby Union, with faster-paced matches of 7 minute halves and more frequent scoring due to there being less defenders on the field. In the two-day event, pool matches are played on the first day with knockout finals played on the second. Teams play multiple games in a day.
Attendees at the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens can look forward to much more than just rugby, too, as the annual showpiece promises a uniquely Singaporean experience at the National Stadium. The food, the fun, the family activities, the safety and reliability of the city are all set to be on display at this two-day event. Known for its family-centric format, event-goers will be able to enjoy an extensive line-up of in-stadium entertainment including sing-alongs, giant screen games, live music, a Family Fun Zone, Splash Party, and rugby-themed activities.
You can purchase official tickets now through Sports Where I Am.
